William Jacob Roeder, Jr.

Caledonia- William Jacob Roeder, Jr., 91, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Tuesday, January 24, 2012.

Bill was born in Seneca, KS on December 14, 1920 to William Jacob and Marie (nee: Hopf) Roeder. He married Joyce C. Edwards. She preceded him in death on April 3, 2006. Bill Drove for Greyhound until his retirement in 1976. He was a hobby farmer and boarded horses. He was a member of the Caledonia Conservancy.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Marcia M. (James R.) Chitko of Green Bay and Karen (Michael R.) Roeder-Foley of Racine; grandchildren, Jamie and Kimberley Chitko of Green Bay, Nicole (Dale) Moss of Kenosha, Michael (Shannon) Chitko of Milwaukee and Kathleen and Joseph Foley of Racine; 6 great grandchildren; and sisters in law, Pauline Roeder of Caledonia and Shirley Roeder of San Antonio, TX. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Edward, Gerald, Paul and Emmitt.

Memorial visitation for Bill will be held at Racine Country Club, 2801 Northwestern Avenue on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. followed by a brief prayer service and luncheon. Inurnment will take place in St. Louis Cemetery at a later date. Memorials to Caledonia Conservancy, P.O. Box 044714, Racine, WI 53404 have been suggested.
