Gerhardt A. Hoffmann

Racine- Gerhardt A. Hoffmann, 85, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare on Thursday, January 26, 2012.

Gerhardt was born in Stratford, WI on April 7, 1926 to Joseph and Lizzie (nee: Meyer) Hoffmann. He married Meta Weichelt in Wausau on September 30, 1950. Gerhardt enjoyed fishing and riding ATV's. His greatest joy was his family. Gerhardt cherished spending time on the boat and taking his grandchildren tubing. He also enjoyed the time he spent with his great grandchildren.

Gerhardt is survived by wife, Meta Hoffmann; sons, Tom (Jan) Hoffmann and Terry Hoffmann; grandchildren, Jared, Marc and Joseph Hoffmann, Jacob (Laura Ann) and Alissa Hoffmann; great Grandchildren, Miranda, Lailla and Wyatt Gerhardt; sister, Lucille Miller and brother, Lawrence (Florence) Hoffmann. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Gerhardt was preceded in death by three brothers and 8 Sisters.

A memorial service will be held for Gerhardt on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
